Project introduction
JAS organic certification in Japan is the highest level certification of food and agricultural products by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan, namely organic certification of agricultural products. The Japanese Agriculture Standard (JAS), translated as the "Japanese Organic Agriculture Standard", was formulated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) of Japan and implemented on April 1, 2002. The JAS standard requires that all organic products and raw materials exported to Japan must comply with the Japanese agricultural standard.
JAS organic standards are established based on the CAC (Codex Alimentarius Commission) "Guidelines for the production, processing, labeling and market of organically produced food". Manufacturers certified by JAS organic can engage in organic agricultural production, organic food production and other activities.
On September 18, 2020, Green Forest Certification obtained the organic product certification license from MAFF of Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, becoming the first institution in China that can directly issue certificates.
